SURGICAL INTERNSHIP: St. Elizabeth’s Hospital, Brighton, Massachusetts, 1968.

SURGICAL INTERNSHIP: St. Vincent’s Hospital, New York, New York, 1970-1971.   This hospital is famous for developing the first coronary care unit and first ambulance with an “on-board” physician which is what is currently the paramedic service.

FAMILY PRACTICE RESIDENCY: Contra Costa County Medical Services, Martinez, California, 1973-1975.  Residents completing this program were trained to take care of 95% of all medical-surgical problems encountered by patients.  These medical services were affiliated with the University of California, Davis Medical School in Davis, California.
